✈ What We Track

~4,600 Tier 1 jets are registered globally. These are the largest and most expensive private aircraft — Gulfstream G500–G800, Bombardier Global 5000–7500, and Dassault Falcon 7X / 8X / 900. New acquisition cost: $40M–$80M+.

We also track Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) and Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) — converted airliners used by heads of state, royal families, and sovereign wealth funds.

At any given moment, 60–90 of these aircraft are airborne worldwide. Data: OpenSky Network ADS-B feed, refreshed every 10 minutes.

📊 Anomaly Detection

For each of 17 monitored airports (London, Geneva, Dubai, Teterboro, Singapore…), we count Tier 1 jets within a ~40 km radius each hour. We compare to the rolling 30-day average for the same hour of day.

Requires ≥ 3 days of baseline. No repeat alert per airport within 2 hours.

🔗 News Correlation

When an anomaly fires, we search our news index (Al Jazeera, Guardian, BBC) for articles published within ±6 hours of detection time. Each article is scored:

confidence = geo (0–0.5) + time (0–0.3) + magnitude (0–0.2)
Geo: place name overlap between article and airport region
Time: closeness of publish time to anomaly detection
Magnitude: how far above normal the traffic count was

Shown only if confidence ≥ 0.2. Correlation is not causation — a cluster is a signal worth investigating, not a conclusion.
